The Center was founded in 1969 when the United Churches of the Elizabethtown Area realized that providing high quality, educational, affordable and safe child care was crucial to the well being of the families who live and work in our community. Currently ECCC serves 120 families, caring for nearly 150 children, ages 6 weeks to 11 years, and has a staff of 35.
ECCC would not be able to fulfill our mission without the support of generous contributions from individuals, businesses, and organizations. Donations help keep fees affordable, provide tuition assistance when needed, underwrite staff training and development, and maintain a safe and pleasant environment for the children.
Donations can be designated to help fund:
- Program Costs – supplies and equipment used in everyday activities
- Tuition Assistance – ECCC has a sliding fee scale so that all families have access to quality child care
- Endowment – planning for the future, ECCC has created a special account to generate interest to be used to fund specific projects
